The Mattoon Public Library offers Free Notary services by appointment only to help community members with essential document verification needs. Appointments are required and only scheduled during regular library hours, based on notary availability.

How to Prepare for a Notary Appointment
What to Bring to Your Appointment
- A current, valid, government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport — expired IDs cannot be accepted)
- All documents to be notarized. Documents must be complete but unsigned; signatures must be witnessed by the notary.
- All required signers. Everyone whose signature requires notarization must be present with valid ID.
