1903 Room
Best For: Quiet Study, Small Groups, Online Meetings
- Occupancy: 1–6 people
- Amenities: Table + chairs
- Cost: Free (day use only)
Perfect for tutoring, virtual meetings, small discussions, or focused work time.
Kinzel Room
Best For: Meetings, Workshops, Small Sessions
- Occupancy: 6–12 people
- Amenities:

- Cost: $25 per reservation
A spacious, comfortable conference space ideal for group discussions or professional meetings.
Community Room
Best For: Large Groups, Gatherings, Community Events

How to Reserve a Room
To rent a meeting room:
- Submit the Room Rental Request Form
- Or call the Library at 217-234-1710
- Check the online calendar to confirm availability

Rules & Guidelines
Please review before reserving a space:
- Weekend dates fill quickly—book early
- Payment must be made no later than the day before your event
- Include in your invitations:
- “Located in the lower basement of the Mattoon Public Library.”
- No alcohol, smoking, or drug use is permitted on library property
- Renters are responsible for cleaning up after their event
- Decorations must be hung with removable poster tape or Command strips
- Post-its and Post-it poster paper/boards are allowed
