We Did It!. We Hit 100,000. The Mattoon Public Library is proud to congratulate, Jordan Conour, for checking out the 100,000 item in 2009. Seven year old Jordan won a basket of goodies including a gift card to Walden’s bookstore, and the movie theater, coupons for the occasional late item, and a one year non-resident family library pass. By the close of business New Year’s Eve we checked out 100,519 items. Thank you to all the Mattoon Public Library patrons and staff who have helped to make 2009 the biggest year ever.
